Quick Hamburger Skillet Stew Recipe

Preparation Time: 35 minutes
4 Servings

Ingredients:

1/4 lb lean Ground Beef
1 large Onion, sliced thin
4 Carrots, sliced thin
2 Potatoes, halved, sliced thin
3 ribs Celery, sliced thin
1 cup boiling Water
2 tsp Beef Bouillon
2 Bay Leaves
1/4 tsp dried Thyme
Salt or Garlic Salt
Pepper

Sauce:

1/4 cup Dry Red Wine
2 Tbsp All-Purpose Flour

Directions:

Use melon baller and shape meat into tiny meatballs. Brown in skillet. Discard any fat. Stir onions into skillet and cook 1 minute. Add boiling water and bouillon. Add remaining vegetables and seasonings. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes until vegetables are tender.

Combine wine and flour in covered jar. Shake well, then pour and stir into skillet. Cook and stir until sauce is thick, about 4 minutes.
