Sizzling San Juan Steaks Recipe

Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Serves: 4


4 T-bone Steaks
1/4 cup Rum
1 Tbsp Shallots, chopped
4 Tbsp Butter or Margarine
1 Tbsp Parsley, chopped
2 tsp Lime Juice
1/2 tsp Tabasco Pepper Sauce


In sauce pan, combine rum and shallots and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in butter, parsley, lime juice and Tabasco sauce. Mix well.

Brush steaks with rum butter. Grill or broil steaks first on high heat to lock in juices, then on medium to cook to desired doneness. Turn steaks once while cooking and brush with rum butter occasionally.

Heat any remaining rum butter and serve with steaks. Serve with additional Tabasco sauce if desired.
