Preparation Time: 60 minutes
Makes 3 cups
1½ cups Ketchup
2/3 cup packed Brown Sugar
2/3 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
2 slices fresh Ginger Root
1 whole Lemon
Mix ketchup, brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon and ginger roots in a small sauce pan.
Cut lemon in half and squeeze juice into saucepan. Mix well and bring to a boil over low heat.
Cook 45 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally. Set sauce aside to cool. Remove ginger root and discard.
Note: Sauce may be refrigerated in a covered container for about 6 months.
