Hot Dog Stew Recipe

Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serves: 6


1 lb Hot Dogs
6 Tbsp Flour
3/4 stick Margarine
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 large Onion, chopped
1 small Green Pepper, chopped
6 medium White Potatoes, peeled
1 Chicken Bouillon Cube
Salt & Pepper, to taste
Parsley, minced


In a very large skillet, make a light roux with margarine and flour. Add onion, garlic, and pepper and saute until slightly caramelized. Cut potatoes into chunks and stir into mixture. Add water and bouillon cube, cover, and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer. Cut hot dogs into chunks, stir into mixture, then cover.

Watch carefully until done (the potatoes should be falling apart). Salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle stew with fresh parsley and serve with fresh bread.
