Aunt Elsie's BBQ'd Hot Dogs Recipe

Preparation Time: 25 minutes
Serves: 10


10 Hot Dogs
1/2 cup Onion, chopped
1 Tbsp Fat
1 1/4 cup Catsup
2 Tbsp Pickle Relish
1 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tbsp Vinegar
1/4 tsp Salt
Pepper, to taste


In a large skillet, saute chopped onions in fat until tender. Combine rest of ingredients in skillet with onion. Cut hot dogs 3 or 4 times but not all the way through (about a fourth of the way). Place in sauce and simmer until plump and hot. Place hot dogs on toasted hot dog buns and pour pour bbq sauce over top. Serve with your favorite cold beverage.
