Preparation Time: 25 minutes
1 1/2 lb Ground Beef
2 oz Monterey Jack Cheese with Jalapeno Pepper, thinly sliced
4 Hamburger Buns
4 Tomato slices
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Divide ground beef into 8 equal portions. Shape each into 4 inch diameter patties. Place equal amounts of cheese in center of the 4 patties. Top with remaining 4 patties and press edges together to seal securely. Place patties on grill over medium coals. Grill 10 to 12 minutes or to desired doneness, turning once. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Toast buns on grill for a minute, then arrange lettuce on each bun bottom, top with burgers and tomato slices, and cover with bun tops. Serve with your favorite side dish and beverages.
