Low-Fat Buffalo Chili Recipe

Preparation Time:
Yields: 4 Servings


1/2 lb lean Ground Buffalo Meat
1 cup Onions, chopped
1/2 cup Green Peppers, chopped
1 can Low-salt Tomato Sauce (8 oz)
1 can Low-sodium Beef Broth (14.5 oz)
6 oz Low-salt Tomato Paste
2 tsp Chili Powder
1/2 tsp Cumin
Brown Sugar, to taste
2 cans Dark Red Kidney Beans, undrained (15 oz ea)


Cook beef, onion and green peppers over medium heat until beef is well done and onion and peppers are soft. Strain all and run under hot water until beef loses oily feel when touched. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer. Adjust seasonings to taste.
